Terms of Use

Use the site as an educational simulator and reference guide

These terms describe the basic expectations for using Game of Life Lab. They are written for a learning site: read the notes, run the examples, check the sources, and use judgment before relying on any result as a complete technical reference.

Educational content

Game of Life Lab explains Conway's Game of Life, cellular automata, and named patterns through articles, pattern pages, and interactive simulations. The site is provided for education, exploration, and reference.

Pattern facts are checked against cited sources when practical, but Life research has deep community history. If a number or source appears outdated, use the contact page to report it with evidence.

Simulator behavior

The simulator is designed for readable learning examples. It is not a replacement for specialist Life tools when you need huge universes, long time jumps, scripting, or exact research workflows.

Browser performance, board boundaries, and selected board size may affect what you see. For large or long-lived patterns, compare with dedicated tools and source references.

External links

The site links to external sources such as LifeWiki, research pages, and documentation. Those sites are controlled by their own maintainers. A link is provided for context and does not mean Game of Life Lab controls that content.

Future paid or advertising features

The site may add advertising or paid features later. Any such feature should preserve the core learning experience: clear navigation, readable content, and no deceptive interaction.

Privacy-related advertising disclosures are maintained on the Privacy Policy page.
